Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 17, 2026

🔒 Zero-Knowledge & Privacy-First Principle: Documentor is engineered as a strictly privacy-first, offline secure document vault. We do not track, upload, store, or monetize your personal documents, files, or master passwords on our servers.

Welcome to Documentor ("we", "our", or "us"). We are fully committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal information and files remain secure. This Privacy Policy details the strict measures governing how data is treated within the Documentor mobile application.

1. Information We Collect and Process

Documentor operates under a decentralized database design where your documents remain strictly on your local device hardware profiles. However, to facilitate essential functionality, limited categories of data are managed as follows:

A. Documents, Scans, and Files

All photos, physical page scans, imported gallery images, text configuration logs, and PDF files you scan or store within Documentor are processed strictly on-device. We have absolute zero access to your document library attachments, images, or metadata records.

B. Device Lock & Authentication Metrics

Documentor utilizes your system architecture's native Android Keyguard and Biometric Prompt APIs to allow secure unlock capabilities. The application does not store, collect, or transmit your fingerprint template strings or lock screen PIN hashes. All biological recognition processes run independently inside Android's secure hardware enclave.

C. Account & Synced Profile Data

When you register or activate an optional account session profile, minimal parameters are cataloged to assist with application indexing states:

Data Field Type Storage Location Primary Operational Purpose
Display Name & Email Address Secure Remote Database User account provisioning and access management.
Total Indexed Document Count Secure Remote Database Enforcing subscription logic limits (e.g., free tier up to 14 files).
Premium Subscription State Secure Remote Database Validating Google Play Billing purchase tokens for feature unlocks.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token Secure Remote Database Routing background transaction status alerts and expiry notifications.

2. Data Security & Encryption Architecture

Because Documentor operates primarily as an offline utility layer, securing your documents relies on standard local device configurations:

3. Third-Party Services & APIs

Documentor integrates limited third-party tooling protocols solely to run critical application backend hooks:

  1. Google Play Billing API: Processes your ₹149/Year Premium tier payments over secure transaction layers governed by Google Play's standalone policies.
  2. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Delivers local alert contexts and system upgrade notifications directly to your phone's notification manager.
  3. Update Check Service API: Periodically requests check configurations via documentor.rubyinfo.tech to identify system app changes or active seasonal offers. No unique user telemetry metadata is passed during this connection.

4. Children's Privacy

Our application service does not deliberately harvest or organize records from children under the age of 13. Since zero files or raw scanning metadata reach our backend layouts, we do not monitor or maintain age distribution metrics across document repositories.

5. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this security statement occasionally to map system updates or structural design modifications. We encourage you to review the Alerts Hub section inside the app to track ongoing framework changes.
